Holy Moly! Whether it’s change you weren’t expecting or if you’re like me change you prayed for…
CHANGE IS HARD!
I took a little unexpected sabbatical from my blogging because, well, change hit me like a brick wall. There was a whole lot of tears the end of February and well into March. And I’m not much of a crier (not at movies, etc.)! The first of April, my husband looked at me and said, “It was like a bomb went off – Are we ready to get back to normal?” Lord bless him, he was a trooper in my CrAzY.
Friends, I had prayed for a change but what I didn’t consider was what that change would feel like. You see, what I realized is, my world hasn’t really experienced much change in the thirty something years I’ve been around. My parents still live in the house I grew up in since I was in the third grade, all my close family has always lived around me, and I’d had the same job for twenty years. Apparently, real change isn’t the normal for me and I’ll be honest that’s probably a good thing. I suck at change! I think I get it from my dad, who I can picture now twirling his napkin in his hands nervously and saying, “Can’t help you, never been in that situation.” I don’t think he likes much change either, I mean he retired from the same job of forty-six years.
So, now on this side of my job change (four months later) change is hard but oh so so good!! It grew me, its wreaked havoc on me, and my hubs knows now that I can cry but I’m so thankful God answered my prayers and walked me thru what He knew would be challenging but worth it. I’m beyond blessed and happier than ever!
So, I’m back & grateful & ready to share more with each of you!
Much Love, Kim
